Meet Kim

Kim Cook
10K Diamond Distributor
2008 “Team Player of the Year”

Welcome!  My name is Kim Cook and I have a great life.  I live in Minnesota with my husband, Paul, and our teenage daughter.  If I actually named her here she would probably “die” that she was on her Mom’s blog so I’ll spare her.  We also live with a Golden Retriever, Dutchess, and 2 bunnies, Dusty and Penelope.  I have lived in Minnesota my whole life, except for a couple years at college when I lived in Wisconsin.   All in all I find it a great place to live.  And for those who like beaches, we have 10,000 or more of them since we have so many lakes.

If you haven’t figured it out already, you will soon.  I am a social worker/advocate at heart and have a serious passion for freedom.  Prior to starting my own home business, I had a full-time career working as an advocate.  First for child abuse victims, children who witness domestic violence and homicide survivors and more recently with teenagers with emotional and behavioral difficulties.  While I enjoyed these positions and found them very rewarding, I sought to have more control over my own life.  To set my own schedule.  To spend all the time I wanted with my family and to travel.  Since I didn’t believe I could actually find a travelling social worker position, I decided to start my own home based business.  Now you may be thinking, “but candles have nothing to do with social work.”   True, but it has been a fun and relaxing career transition!

Surprisingly, Network Marketing and Social Work are not all that different.  Either way, the goals are to enrich people’s lives, to provide opportunities for growth and to educate.  It’s the part of the business that I find most rewarding as I watch others grow and benefit.  We have an incredible array of business tools that we provide to all distributors on our team and it’s those options that help foster success.

I am so grateful for all this business has offered and more importantly for the relationships that I have gained.  We have a serious group of dedicated business professionals who I am honored to know and “work” with.

But heck.  Don’t get me wrong.  Life is not all serious and not all business.  I have lots of interests in life.  I love to read, travel, hang out with family and friends, write, hike, explore, learn and promote freedom - both for myself and others.

I look forward to getting to know you as we spread freedom (on toast.)

Kim
